Opportunity Description

We are currently looking to hire a corporate attorney to fulfill an opening we have in the Melville, NY area in the Medical Devices industry.

Our client, one of the world's largest healthcare provider, offers a comprehensive selection of products at an affordable cost. Generating a high revenue, they include both branded and non-branded items for their clients.

Job Duties

  • Identify, recommend, plan and assist with implementation of federal, state and foreign legal compliance measures and improvements, including relating to anti-kickback, FCPA, other customer incentives other matters as requested.
  • Prepare, update, implement and manage policies, communications and training presentations relating to compliance, and maintain records of communications and training.
  • Assist with risk assessments, work with internal/external audit to review programs compliance, and utilize analytics tools and other methods to monitor compliance, identify potential areas of risk and prioritize risk resolution.
  • Assist with overseeing compliance hotline monitoring, responses, resolution, and reports, as needed.
  • Be familiar with federal, state and global legal/regulatory requirements and timely response to field/client questions and resolve issues.
  • Review regulatory and health law aspects of contracts and marketing structures, and advise clients on compliant structures and contract provisions.
  • Review and prepare contracts and other legal documentation related to compliance requirements and submissions.
  • Assure applicable annual reporting requirements, and periodic training requirements are met (state, federal and international).
  • Assist in overseeing global compliance, creating and implementing compliance policies, guidelines and tools and advising operations to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze new regulatory and legal compliance requirements, determine impact on Company, subsidiaries, and affiliates and recommend and assist with implementation of plan to meet applicable requirements.
  • Assist with internal investigations, business partner and government inquiries and actions, and related responses and resolution. Assist with other compliance work as needed (may involve international work).
  • Enhance corporate compliance and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, providing prompt and accurate advice and appropriate solution recommendations, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.

Education

Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Juris Doctor Degree required. Master's degree or global equivalent preferred.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Active attorney license required.
  • Health Law required.
  • Healthcare Industry required.
  • Anti-KickBack experience.

Certifications

Typically holds 1 or more industry certifications.
