Opportunity Description

Our client is currently seeking a Production Scheduler to join their team! The primary responsibility of the Production Scheduler is to maintain and support production through weekly scheduling activities, subsequent releases of jobs to the shop floor along with the daily maintenance of current jobs.

Job Duties

  • Implement lead time scheduling in conjunction with the transition from shop-based product flow to cellular manufacturing
  • Develop and monitor key in-house production milestones.
  • Coordinate daily production reviews.
  • Identify and communicate material availability issues.
  • Identify, schedule and monitor utilization of key capacity restraints (CnC machines and coating chambers)
  • Schedule and monitor new product introduction and developmental activities to ensure on time delivery to project milestones.
  • Drive process improvements for scheduling function and support continuous improvement process throughout the company.
  • Support company policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP’s).

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree Preferred

Experience & Skills Required

  • 3-5 years of experience with batching and filling, and a make-to-stock manufacturing environment
  • ERP experience preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skill and data analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing resources planning theories, principles and industry practices
