Opportunity Description

We are currently seeking a Quantitative Analyst for an opportunity with a leading financial services organization in New York City. 

Job Duties

  • Project a professional image of the company and provide high-quality service to clients
  • Execute engagements and special projects day-to-day with a high level of professionalism
  • Perform analytical reviews and conduct research
  • Complete quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Ability to travel and/or work at client premises up to 80 to 90 percent of the time
  • Serve a variety of clients within multiple industries

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Accounting & Finance, Quantitative Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics or Computer Science from an accredited college/university

Experience & Skills Required

  • Fundamental understanding of the commercial / consumer lending industry and basic loan products preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed, at times with relatively short notice
  • Willingness and ability to work hours as needed to meet client deadlines, including the occasional non-work week
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong qualitative skills and ability to absorb data to document understanding, issues, findings, and conclusions
  • Strong proficiency in basic PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Aris) with a general understanding of data analysis techniques
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work streams, and manage time constraints effectively
  • Ability to act autonomously while being a team player within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate findings
  • Excellent ability to listen, absorb, and comprehend financial concepts and loan products
  • Programming skills in SAS, R, S, Python, Matlab or equivalent
