Opportunity Description

Serves as an electronics technician in support of the Assembly operations. Chief Responsibilities: Builds prototypes and test circuits Performs advanced electronic repairs Builds custom electronics assemblies Performs tests and experiments Serves as backup for the Electronics Assembly Manager Performs all Electro-Mechanical Assembler tasks when required Is fluent in all Electro-Mechanical Assembler tasks and all assemblies as per the Electro-Mechanical Assembler Job Description Serves a backup to Electronics Assembly Manager as QA inspector 

Job Duties

  • Diagnoses and repairs defective and damaged and electronic assemblies at the component level, including Tech Services issues with customers. 
  • Competently operates test and diagnostic equipment including: Oscilloscope, DMM,SHoW DMX Radio Test and Programming Jig 
  • Competent in the following tasks and skills: Read schematics, SMT and Thru-Hole Soldering,Hot Air SMT Rework, SMT and ThruHole PCBA hand building, Component Identification 
  • Follows safety procedures Wears personal protective equipment when required Learns new tasks, procedures and assemblies as needed Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment Ensures after task is completed, floor is swept and tools are returned to designated area 
  • Maintains tools regularly Work with the Electronics Assembly Manager to develop manufacturing procedures and documentation Regularly contribute process improvement

Education

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or similarly related field
  • 3-5 years of experience and prior qualification as EA Assembler.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Flexible and able to adapt to change 
  • Problem-solving and creative thinking skills 
  • Good manual dexterity Knowledge of electronics 
  • Able to use hand tools and small power tools 
  • Able to interpret and follow assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics 
  • Ability to use measuring devices 
  • Soldering skills 
  • Wiring skills
