We are seeking a Research Commercialization Scientist to join an industry leading team optimizing product performance and advancing new e-mobility technologies. This is a unique opportunity to work on novel industry leading solutions.

Job Duties

  • Lead & execute technology projects which result in product recommendations, new technical capabilities and/or deployment and contribute to future project generation
  • Design and develop next generation of performance chemical additives. Develop, test and commercialize customized additive packages to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide technical support internally and externally. Communicate ideas effectively to varied audiences, including documentation. Create an understanding of how to meet technical product qualification requirements through the delivery of testing programs, investigating additive responses and engineering impacts on performance. Develop and maintain product documentation and technical brochures.
  • Generate innovative solutions to formulation challenges.
  • Translate experimental data, both performance and characterization into technology design
  • Work collaboratively within the team and with global colleagues throughout a diverse array of teams 


MS Chemical Engineering, Material Science or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated leadership abilities 

BS Chemical Engineering, Material Science or Mechanical Engineering with +10 years of relevant experience and demonstrated leadership abilities 

Experience & Skills Required

Successful candidates must have 3+ years of industry experience leading research to commercialization projects and having direct customer interactions.  Strong project management skills are highly desirable.

Design of Experiments - Ability to design experiments and to accurately analyze, interpret, follow-up and communicate experimental data, determine conclusions, limitations, and recommendations.

Communication & Presentation – Technical communication skills (written, verbal, and graphic). Ability to develop compelling technical arguments, and transmit them at the appropriate level with knowledge and confidence.

Collaboration - Ability to work within cross-functional teams, collaborate and influence others

Knowledge –Familiarity with tribology, surface sciences, material sciences and product formulation or related technology development. Attention to detail and the ability to think logically, applying different tactics to solve problems using resources available both internally and externally

Decisive - Ability to deal with uncertainty and ambiguity, taking a flexible approach when needed information is limited by external circumstances
