Opportunity Description

HumanEdge has a client immediately hiring for a Maintenance and Repair Inspector. The overall duties of your role will be to ensure:

  • The equipment is safe during the whole transport chain
  • The equipment is suitable for the commercial demand
  • Repairs are performed at lowest cost yet according to Company standards and processes
  • Repairs are performed in a timely manner

Job Duties

Your day-to-day job duties in the Maintenance and Repair Inspector role will be to:

  • Evaluate repair documents in MARS system
  • Control the estimated repair method and repair extend
  • Control the correct use of repair codes and item categories
  • Request pics upon demand and report potential manufacture defects / lack of quality to Regional Coordinator
  • Support / follow-up equipment campaigns
  • Maintain open / pending / cancelled estimates AP / RQ / RE
  • Point of Entry for communication with Depot
  • Discuss estimates with the depot and perform regular local M&R inspections at the depots
  • Pre & Post Repair inspection of selected estimates
  • Perform regular cost analysis provided by the Regional Coordinator
  • Perform regular time analysis of repair cycles

Leasing Equipment:

  • Evaluate and document on-hire inspection and off-hire repairs
  • POE for Leasing Companies regarding on-hire & off-hire
  • Total Loss Procedure

Recovery:

  • Initiate recovery of 3rd Party damages and provide evidence
  • Open TREX to CS and provide evidence in case of customer-related damages
  • Claim costs against vendors in case of operational damages
  • Claim improper repair 
  • Handle Equipment Emergency Repairs
  • Maintain Repair Tariffs / support local tariff negotiations
  • Independent maintenance of the repair tariffs (E7016) for the respective depots
  • Support the responsible procurement team with tariff negotiations in consideration of the tariff list and request approval from Regional Coordinator before finalization.
  • Request necessary contracts and rate sheets from Procurement supported by Regional Coordinator 

Experience & Skills Required

  • 1-3 years inspection experience
  • Mechanically inclined
