Opportunity Description

Our client is hiring for an Accounting Director in New City, New York. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for leading the Company's accounting and treasury activities. In addition to managing the members of the accounting team, the Accounting Director will report to the CFO, being a true partner and contributing to strengthen the accounting and treasury function.

Job Duties

As the Accounting Director, you will:

  • Coordinate the monthly closing process from accounting stand point, interacting with the Reporting team and underlining timely the possible issues to the CFO
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company including cash flow management and strength of balance sheet
  • Oversee invoice processing and accounts payable / accounts receivable 
  • Interact and support all Audit and Tax related engagements
  • Manage the external reporting including annual audits, bank reporting, etc. Treasury, Insurance
  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly cash needs and forecasts future cash flow requirements
  • Be accountable for all working capital metrics & working cross-functionally to influence results
  • Maintain all banking and lender relationships and prepare all compliance requirements 
  • Maintain all risk management/insurance relationships and ensure business is adequately protected; respond to requests from the business on any insurance coverage needs
  • Ensure all transactions and financial policies for their organization meet federal regulations and standards.
  • Help create business policies and practices that meet compliance with the laws they are subject to and develop a review process to ensure they maintain these goals.



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting 

Experience & Skills Required

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 6-8 years relevant work experience
  • CPA (or equivalent), MBA a plus
  • Proven ability to perform effective work load prioritization and time management to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with and communicate with people at different levels 
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to be thorough with attention to detail
  • Experience in SAP is mandatory
  • Previous Experience in manufacturing company is preferred
