Opportunity Description

Our client is hiring for an Inventory Coordinator in Mahwah, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining counts and quantities of materials and supplies using the ERP System. You will also be responsible for regularly cycle counting stock to maintain quality and cross-referencing validity in the system.

Job Duties

As the Inventory Coordinator, you will:

  • Manage shop supplies, monitor their inventory levels and order replenishments when necessary
  • Receive incoming purchase orders via computer system and verifying accepted/rejected quantities 
  • Issue material to shop employees and record usage accurately
  • Follow up with vendors on promise dates and assist in general communication regarding orders for materials
  • Check with employees regarding supplies they may need and order accordingly (ie, tools, packaging supplies, office supplies, etc)
  • Look over jobs before the shipping phase to ensure correct material was assigned
  • Assist the shop where needed and work with plant manager to ensure workflow productivity 
  • Go off campus to retrieve any supplies that are needed in immediate situations
  • Review and electronically receive incoming purchase orders

Experience & Skills Required

Qualifications:

  • A background in inventory management 
  • Computer comfortability and literacy
  • Basic math skills
  • Good communicative skills 
  • Comfortable with understanding units of measurement, ie, inches, feet, square feet, etc.
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel specifically
  • Background with metals and manufacturing
  • Organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus but not required
  • Prior experiences utilizing ERP Software
