Opportunity Description

Our client is hiring for a Billing Coordinator in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In this role, you will provide financial, administrative and clerical support to the organization. Your role is to process customer invoices, review the aging report, and assist the customer with any on-going issues.

Job Duties

As the Billing Coordinator, you will:

  • Process all orders in a timely and effective manner
  • Create and issues invoices to customers using and the company’s system, and EDI
  • Collaborate with the orders department to ensure all orders are captured in the system properly
  • Review billing problems, research any issues, and assist in resolving customer’s concerns
  • Keep files accurate and up-to-date 
  • Ability to maintain exceptional degree of discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Perform monthly closing processes to meet the organization’s needs.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Education

Education:

  • Two to four years related experience or educational equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

Experience & Skills Required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of billing experience required in a high paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Experience with electronic billing
  • Possession of the following competencies in technical knowledge, critical thinking skills, communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines causes greater than normal department pressures
  • Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
  • General math skills
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
