Opportunity Description

HumanEdge Allied Health is looking to hire a Surgical Technologist (Certified OR Tech) to work in one of Connecticut's largest health care systems in Newington, CT.

13 week contract; option to extend
Monday - Thursday
10 hour shifts

Job Duties

As the Surgical Technologist, you will:

Prepare and organize the operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies as required for various surgical procedure
Anticipate surgeon and patient needs during a procedure
Take care of specimens, prepare, check, and monitor medications, and assist with dressings
Set up a sterile and sanitary environment, and maintain the sterile field for the patient during procedures

Experience & Skills Required

Qualifications:

Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in a level II trauma facility
Opthamalogy experience is preferred
