HumanEdge is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) for a full-time position with one of our trusted clients in Newark, NJ. This role involves providing essential support to individuals in recovery, helping them navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve sustained sobriety. As a CADC, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, delivering therapeutic interventions and guidance in a structured setting.
Job Duties
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support recovery and personal development.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide case management, referrals, and follow-up services.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with state regulations.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
Conduct educational workshops on substance use and recovery.
Experience & Skills Required
Valid CADC certification in New Jersey.
Proven experience in substance use counseling.
NJ SAMS Assessment Experience
Strong understanding of recovery principles, relapse prevention, and therapeutic interventions.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
