Opportunity Description
Experienced HR Benefits Analyst needed for a direct hire in Elmsford, NY. As the HR Benefits Analyst, you will work closely with the Benefits Specialist and the Accounting Department to track all healthcare and retirement benefits costs and ensure that premiums and deductions are properly accounted for and that GL accounts have been correctly reconciled. This person will also be the primary contact for all administrative and accounting aspects of the ESPP (Employee Stock Purchase Plan).
Job Duties
- Work closely with third party benefits administration vendor to ensure that eligibility is being determined correctly.
- Review all monthly benefits invoices for accuracy for Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic and Voluntary Life, ADD, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Flexible Spending Accounts, Commuter.
- Track 401K Eligibility and assist with nondiscrimination testing and audit reports.
- Reconcile administrative fees, stop loss and claims related to self-insured medical plans.
- Conduct accurate and timely monthly general ledger allocations, monthly premium reconciliations.
- Maintain data integrity of ESPP Plan while working closely with transfer agent to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
- Perform regular reconciliations of equity transactions.
- Manage ESPP Enrollment and purchase, year-end processes and audits, as well as employee equity educational materials.
- Assist with SOX compliance.
Experience & Skills Required
- Three to five years of progressive experience in benefits.
- Experience with self-insured medical plans.
- Experience with benefits accounting and reconciliations preferred.
- Ability to organize and manage workload to meet department needs and deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and V look-ups.
