Opportunity Description
We are currently seeking a Forklift/Shipping & Receiving Associate for a long-term contract position in Summit, NJ.
Job Duties
- Pick and pack parts orders (in both boxes and crates- may have to make crates)
- Ship sales orders using UPS computer system, scale and label printer (online computer processing).
- Pick work orders for in house assembly activities (for sales orders, stock orders and equipment orders) and stage where instructed.
- Load and unload inbound- outbound parts and equipment orders using equipment listed below (from major trucking companies) load and unload inbound- outbound castings and finished parts (from local vendors)
- Assist the assembly department for moving and staging components during assembly (using cranes and fork trucks as needed). inspects screens and certain other parts- this function will shift back to inspection.
- Keep work area and stock area clean for safe operation.
Experience & Skills Required
- Will need to be certified on first (3) before being allowed to operate equipment in the building.
- Operate sitting fork truck- propane trucks
- Operate hand jack truck- electric
- Operate Stand up forklift- electric
- Operate overhead cranes for moving heavy parts on and off flatbed trucks.
