Opportunity Description
The Financial Planning & Analysis team is the chief liaison between the Company’s linear TV operations and Corporate Finance. The team serves a critical role in centralizing consolidated financial reporting and analysis functions and as a resource to all Miami-based Finance leads. Responsibilities include preparing, consolidating and reviewing monthly estimates & annual budgets, financial analysis and strategic reporting. The position requires outstanding analytical, accounting, organizational and communication skills. This position reports directly to the Director of Networks FP&A and will have considerable interaction with the SVP, CFO of the company.
Job Duties
- Manage over $1 billion P&L, including forecasting, expense rationalization, show profitability analysis and operational planning
- Full oversight, supervision and review of the monthly forecasts and estimating process
- Key role in evaluating and enhancing financial reporting for the Networks and in devising new standardized, automated analytical tools to improve the productivity of Networks Finance
- Ownership and stewardship of the annual budget and long-range plan process for Networks
- Preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly variances of actuals to budget/forecasts and OIBDA roll forwards
- Close collaboration with Corporate FP&A and the Office of the CEO on expense management and in determining short-term and long-term strategies
- Spearhead Networks’ operating plan presentations and numerous ad hoc analyses, such as ROI studies evaluating potential strategic investments
- Maintain, update and improve internal dashboards tracking key show metrics and other KPIs
- Develop miscellaneous financial tracking schedules used to assess viability of savings initiatives and designed to leverage opportunities and mitigate risks
- Assist in various aspects of quarterly closes, where necessary, including in review and analysis of Balance Sheet accounts and other deliverables for Board presentations
Education
- Finance or Accounting degree (or closely related field)
Experience & Skills Required
- 2-4 years of FP&A or relevant experience work experience; prior role in analytical environment preferred
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills a must; experience in using Oracle Financials and/or Smartview Accounting (PBCS) a plus
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Media industry experience a plus
