Opportunity Description
The Senior Accountant (Accounting Manager) is responsible for all finance functions, including duties associated with the monthly financial close, maintaining a strong internal control environment, maintaining accuracy of the physical inventory and providing insight of inventory and Cost of goods sold (COGS). This position requires excellent analytical skills, experience in cost accounting and inventory management and the ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Duties
- Ensure the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of month end close activities for inventory, and related inventory reserves and COGS, including journal entries, account reconciliations and roll-forwards in accordance with reporting deadlines
- Post all necessary inventory transactions to general ledger and validate the accurate inventory costing
- Compile and review all necessary documentation for posting and accuracy - compare internal documents, such as purchase order, receiving report and Bills of Lading and verify stock numbers, inventory counts and other listed information.
- Regularly enters and reviews entries to general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Oversees preparation of financial reports.
- Responsible for Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
- Analyze Monthly P&L variance
- Prepare monthly KPI reports
- Assists with planning and implementing changes in the accounting system.
- Monitors general ledger accounts for reasonable costs, and investigates any discrepancies.
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance
Experience & Skills Required
- 2-5 year’s previous experience in Accounting and Finance management role.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail a must.
- Strong familiarity with ERP Systems, adaptability to Made-to-Manage software
- Strong customer service skills managing multiple financial projects in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with heavy experience in Excel.
- Organizational skills a must
- Ability to troubleshoot/problem-solve
- Good judgement and decision making
- Good documentation skills
Certifications
CPA preferred but not required
